The Mohawk Trail travels east to west, as the sun rises and sets. This 69-mile scenic byway recalls an historic Native American footpath. Meander through deep forests and historic towns, passing world-class art museums, early 20th-century tourist destinations, scenic hikes and dramatic vistas. The trail also criss-crosses and parallels five major rivers.
Near North Adams, just above the hair pin turn, we recommend stopping at Wigwam Western Summit for a delicious treat and an amazing vista!
