For the second consecutive year, the Williamstown Cultural District will showcase local artwork in a downtown banner exhibition. Selected art will be reproduced on vertical banners hung on utility poles along Spring and Latham Streets.
Artists and community members are encouraged to submit artwork for the Eyes on Art Town banner call. Join us in sharing your talents with our community and visitors!
Timeline and Banner Specifications
Deadline for submissions: 11:59pm on July 1, 2023
Juried selections chosen: July 15, 2023
Banner Exhibition Dates: Labor Day – November 1, 2023 (weather dependent)
Banner image size: 24” wide x 32” tall.
Banner size: 24” wide x 48” tall. Banners include Williamstown Cultural District header and footer added by Cultural District designer. See example to the left.
Note: Modifications from the Williamstown Cultural District may be made to accommodate the banner manufacturing process.
Artwork Submission Information
- Online submissions only, via submission form: https://forms.gle/4w26Cm73QqMZdhzb7
- Those submitting work must reside and/or produce work in Williamstown.
- All submissions must be high-quality images of original work in any medium including 3D and digital processes.
- Artists may submit up to two (2) different images of original artwork.
- Vertically oriented work is the most suitable for this project.
Please remember that the quality of your images will affect the strength of your submission. Carefully consider composition, focus, color accuracy, etc.
“Crisp, clean, and simple” images will read best when installed on the utility poles.
