High school, college, and semi-pro sports are a key part of culture here, and local sports teams are competitive. Facilities are often state-of-the-art and games are informal, free to watch, and fun for families.
- Take in Div III NCAA or NESCAC sports at Williams College’s new sports complex. Williams has steadily won Directors’ Cups for athletic events in NCAA Division III, at least 19 times in the cup’s 21 years.
- The Bay State Games figure skating competition takes place each February in the Lansing Chapman Rink at Williams College.
- Baseball games in North Adams and at the historic Wahconah Park in Pittsfield are relaxed and friendly. At Joe Wolfe Field, you can find local high schools and ice cream shops running the concession stands.
- Tee up with a view over the valley. Taconic Golf Course, renovated in 2009 by golf course architect Gil Hanse, earned Number 2 in Golfweek’s Best Campus Courses in 2016.

The Ephs are members of NESCAC and field 32 teams in NCAA Division III.
