Sol LeWitt: A Wall Drawing Retrospective

An installation that comprises 105 of LeWitt’s large-scale wall drawings, spanning the artist’s career from 1969 to 2007. The drawings occupy nearly an acre of specially built interior walls at MASS MoCA – per LeWitt’s specifications – over three stories of an historic mill building situated at the heart of MASS MoCA.

Conceived by the Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven, CT, in collaboration with the artist before his death in April 2007, the project was undertaken by the Gallery, MASS MoCA, and the Williams College Museum of Art, Williamstown, MA.

Opened in 2008, it will be on display until 2033 (25 years).
