Rhubarb Cocktails

Check out these great cocktails from Maddy, your local mixologist at Mezze Bistro+Bar.

In the Spring, when rhubarb’s in season, you can make a delicious simple syrup perfect for cocktails and mocktails alike.

To make the simple syrup:
Take 3 or 4 stalks of rhubarb cut into 1 inch pieces
2 cups of sugar
3 cups of water

Add ingredients to a saucepan, combine & bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer & let simmer for about 15 minutes. Strain using a fine mesh strainer into a heat safe jar or dish to cool. Be sure to press on rhubarb to release extra juices. Once cooled, reserve in a container and store, refrigerated for up to a week. You can add strawberries or orange zest to the recipe for added fun!
