Contra Dance

Take part in a monthly community contra dance with live fiddle music by “Three Potatoes Four” and all dances taught by caller Quena Crain.

Contra dancing is the contemporary face of a living tradition. Some of the dances are hundreds of years old, some are recently composed. Come alone or with a partner; most people change partners for each dance throughout the evening. New dancers and families with children are encouraged to arrive by 7:30 for instruction in the basics.
