On paved bike trails along old railroad lines, on double-lane highways and mountain paths, cyclists are discovering the Northern Berkshires. Tours and organized rides are expanding up Route 7 and enjoying the beauty and the challenge of our open spaces.
- Casual riders can find bike rentals in Williamstown and Adams for a spin down the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail, a broad, flat paved path running from Adams to Lanesborough along Cheshire Lake.
- For adventurers, mountain biking comes in an infinite variety, at groomed parks and on the trails, even on the slopes of Mount Greylock.
